Momma I feel very low food security!

No wonder the USDA waited until after the election to release this report. Hunger is out, very low food security is in.

Start teaching your kids now folks, hunger is not the proper word to use when describing the uneasy or painful sensation caused by lack of food because the USDA doesn't measure hunger.

How about these fancy schmancy charts? America looks very food secure, don't you think? Would someone please point out to me where it shows that 12% of Americans — 35 million people — could not put food on the table at least part of last year?

Keep scrolling, keep scrolling......

When you reach the bottom of the page you'll see that Texas is above average - WOO HOO! Dig in to the report and you'll find that 1.3 million residents have low or very low food security.

Doesn't sound so bad when you leave out the word hunger, don't you think?
