Important Metro Meeting Tonight
From Robin Holzer:From 4:00 to 7:00 pm Thursday night, Houstonians have a great opportunity to think and talk about the future of our city. METRO is holding a federally-required "scoping" meeting for the Universities light rail line, one of five projects that will dramatically expand Houston's urban transit system.
The Universities line will somehow connect the University of Houston main campus to the Main Street line to Greenway Plaza to the Galleria and neighborhoods in between. Everyone who lives, works, shops, or plays in this corridor has a stake in the project. Tonight's meeting is the public's official opportunity to say where you think the rail line should go, what destinations it should serve, and what neighborhood and environmental impacts to watch out for. Don't miss the opportunity to participate.
