It has been an interesting year with some memorable moments. The Houston Democrats blog has provided a useful outlet for local folks to gather info, share thoughts or just to vent!
Here's to the upcoming year... it promises to be an exciting one filled with plenty of intrique. I hope that the Houston Democrats blog catches it every step of the way as we work to "TURN TEXAS BLUE!"

I remember when Lyn happened to overhear plans for a meeting with Greg Wythe and Charles Kuffner to discuss starting a blog. I didn't even know what a blog was. She patiently explained how important they can be, volunteered to come to that first meeting, took the lead and ran with it. The rest, as they say, is history.
I want to add my sincerest thanks to Lyn for her tireless effort, and to everyone who works so hard to make this a continuing success. Personally, I sure appreciate being able to keep up with what's going on in the Democratic Party there, and this blog helps me get my fix.
Oregon politics is in no way as colorful or exciting, and I sometimes miss the action. You are all fighting "in the belly of the beast", as I like to tell spoiled Democrats I meet and work with here. And I obnoxiously BRAG on you all!
