Regrettably, HCDP Will Not Particpate in the MLK, Jr. Parade Tomorrow
Regrettably, the Harris County Democratic Party will not be included in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day parade line-up on January 16. Parade organizers have declined to accept our participation in the celebration of one of our nation's greatest civil rights leaders.
The Party wishes to thank all Democrats and Democratic organizations who volunteered to march in honor of Dr. King. Special thanks go to Houston City council member Ron Green and his council aide Kassaye B. Kassaye for their tireless efforts on behalf of the Democratic Party.

Any updates as to what happened?
I was watching the edited video on Channel 11 this afternoon and saw that the GREEN PARTY was able to sneak into one of the entries--some fair housing group.
Just FYI
