Top 10 Tom Delay Quotes
This is going around in an email, but in case you haven't received it, it's worth a reminder about why it's so important to replace Tom DeLay in District 22.
1) "So many minority youths had volunteered that there was literally no room for patriotic folks like myself." -Tom DeLay, explaining at the 1988 GOP convention why he and vice presidential nominee Dan Quayle did not fight in the Vietnam War
2) "Now tell me the truth boys, is this kind of fun?" -Tom Delay, to three young hurricane evacuees from New Orleans at the Astrodome in Houston, Sept. 9, 2005

7) "A woman can take care of the family. It takes a man to provide structure. To provide stability. Not that a woman can't provide stability, I'm not saying that... It does take a father, though." -Tom DeLay, in a radio interview, Feb. 10, 2004
8) "I don't believe there is a separation of church and state. I think the Constitution is very clear. The only separation is that there will not be a government church." -Tom DeLay
9) "Emotional appeals about working families trying to get by on $4.25 an hour are hard to resist. Fortunately, such families do not exist." -Tom DeLay, during a debate in Congress on increasing the minimum wage, April 23, 1996
10) "I am not a federal employee. I am a constitutional officer. My job is the Constitution of the United States, I am not a government employee. I am in the Constitution." -Tom DeLay, in a CNN interview, Dec. 19, 1995

Tom Delay supports the following where Nick Lampson fights against:
1. Bayport expansion: More union jobs, more other jobs, more taxes to the communities.
2. Rail expansion to Bayport: More union jobs, more other jobs, more taxes to the communities.
3. Allow additional gas refineries to be built: More union jobs, more other jobs, more taxes to the communities, and cheaper gas.
4. Allow drilling in Anwar and off our coasts: More union jobs, more other jobs, more taxes to the communities, and cheaper gas.
5. Less babies being aborted: insert you own reason, there are many.

Gee whilikers, Craig! You make Tommy Boy sound like a Democrat. But you forget who you're talking to....We know the Thugster isn't supportive of unions but big corporate lobbyists with deep pockets instead. He and Cunningham are two of a kind, and the voters of District 22 know it too. And what is this crap about abortion? Nobody is in favor of abortions, Freep! Stop Roving us with the wedgie. Your B-Thug is history.

You know how much DeLay loves the Unions.
I am sure if he had his way, he would put the unions in Saipan.

No, I know Delay is not a Democrat but I can't see cutting our noses off to spite our face. It angers me enough that part of my mandatory union dues go to support politicians that take food off my table but I'm not going to vote for them. Delay supports an agenda that creates more union jobs and tax revenues.

Thank goodness we'll never have to hear that again. =)
My favorite today (there's one for every day of the year), from the Chron:
"I'm weary, just tired. Why do you hit yourself in the head with a hammer? The answer is, it feels so good when you quit," said County Affairs Committee Chairman Ray Allen, (R) Grand Prairie, who is not seeking re-election.
Who's The Hammer again?
