SDEC Passes Iraq Exit Resolution

This very subtantive resolution was passed unanimously by the Texas State Democratic Executive Committee on Nov. 11. We should all be proud to be Texas Democrats.

Thanks to Stan Merriman Houston Chair Emeritus of the Progressive Populist Caucus of the Texas Democratic Party for alerting us to this important resolution.

Sen. Lieberman is one of the few sane Democrats left

Our Troops Must Stay
America can't abandon 27 million Iraqis to 10,000 terrorists.

jen:

Joe Lieberman, on the Don Imus show yesterday morning, used nearly word for word large parts of the same speech Bush gave at Annapolis later in the day.

The lines about taking direction from the generals in the field, and not setting a timetable from politicians in Washington... hours before Bush delivered those words exactly.

I'm sure you can't believe this, so go watch the video yourself.

Either Joe wrote the speech for Bush, or Rove gave it to Joe first.

When Lieberman changes parties and runs as a Republican in 2008, will you be voting for him?

I just read on the Working for Change blog that MoveOn will back a Democratic challenger to "Judas" Joe Lieberman if its Connecticut members ask. That would be so great! Judas Joe has been a Bush apologist for too long. It's time someone ran against him in the Democratic primary. Judas Joe needs to switch parties. He's a Republican through and through. Remember when Chimp kissed him on the cheek after Monkey's State of the Union address? What the hell was THAT all about? Really, really strange behavior. Chimpie might've planted that kiss because Droopy the Dog Lieberman has backed him and his "war on terra" from the beginning. I wonder if Judas Joe would advocate staying the course in Iraq if it was his sorry butt over there getting shot at and blown up with roadside bombs? I think he'd be singing a different tune.

Personally, I'm for dropping every member of Congress who still supports keeping the troops in Iraq and the entire Bush administration into the heart of Baghdad after letting the Iraqis know they're coming. We'll see how long those chickenhawks last and how fast they'll be crying for their mommas to get them the hell out of Iraq!

Kris,

Can you debate ANYTHING without childish name calling?

Posted by: jennifer at December 1, 2005 10:41 AM

Sure I can, but if I feel like calling someone something then I'll damn sure do it. Get off my planet.

Every comment you are afraid to post just validates the content.

To that I say Thank you!

Not quite, dear, but you're welcome anyway.

'Fear' has nothing to do with it. Courtesy does. If you went into someone's house and repeatedly insulted them, they'd show you the door. Quickly.

You should be glad we're basking in the holiday spirit over here.

Your comments are always welcome when they are something besides rude, or obnoxious, when they are not cut-and-paste screeds from radical right-wing sources and when they are not whining about why your comments have not appeared.

There has not been one in quite awhile from you that meets this description, including that one above I just approved.

You are welcome to keep submitting them, however. =)
