Workshop: Activate and Energize Your Precinct - July 30th
ACTIVATE and ENERGIZE your precinct! Don't miss the FREE Democracy For Houston Precinct Development Workshop to be held Saturday, July 30th. This is a "DON"T MISS!" event.
Harris County has over 930 precincts. We are the second largest county in the U.S., second only to Los Angeles County. We have many vacancies that need to be filled and DFH wants you to have the tools and resources to take back our county!
Whether you are a new precinct chair or you want to be a precinct chair but, don't know how to do this, you are welcome to attend this workshop. Educate yourself so you can get your precinct activated!
Training will also include precinct organizers and captains. So, don't miss out on this oppurtunity. Join us as we learn what other folks have accomplished in Texas and throughout the nation to energize the basic grassroots infrastructure of the Democratic Party, precinct by precinct.

Are you dismayed at George Bush and his stealth Scalia-clone appointment to the Supreme Court ... Karl Rove and Traitorgate ... Tom DeLay and pay-to-play corruption ... Governor Goodhair and the school funding fiasco, etc.? Just remember, this is how our esteemed elephantine opponents took over: precinct by precinct. DFH and the Progressive Populist Caucus are giving us a chance to learn how to take those precincts back!

There should be no precinct chair vacancies in Harris County! You are absolutely right, Phillip, and I hope the time never comes that a trained, qualified candidate and an superb activist organizer would be passed over in favor of a vacancy.

I want to THANK! Bellwether for recognizing the need in Harris County for Precint vacamcies to be FILLED! There should ALWAYS be room for trained, qualified candidates that are intent on being an ACTIVIST ORGANIZER!!!
Folks that stand in the way of fellow Democrats that want to energize, strengthen and move the party FORWARD are only doing our party and themselves a HUGE disservice. We do not have time nor reason to continue to purposely deflect qualified persons from being a Precint Chair!!!
Any interested individual can get the training and resources they need to become a Precint Chair and Activist at the DFH Precint Development Workshop.
You can prepare yourself to file for any Precint Chair position or vacancy and run for election in the March 2006 Primary. Noone can tell a single qualified voter that he/she cannot run for Precint Chair in his/her precint.
I hope that you will make plans to attend a precint training workshop and develop yourself to ACTIVATE a precint. You will strengthen the basic grassroots structure of the Democratic party by doing so.
You, the individual, have the power to ACTIVATE your precint and help us to "take back our county" and turn it BLUE, once more!!!
