A few things that have come up on list serves and blogs:

1. For 2006 and 2008: "We've had a Republican Congress and Republican President for x years, do you feel you are better off than x years ago?" Let moderates ruminate on that one.

2. What do all of the details of Plamegate have to do with Rove? We should leave those to the prosecutor. Rove leaked. That simple. The rest of the details are red herrings from our perspective. These questions are relevant to us: Is Rove someone who should have a national security clearance? Is this someone who should be the closest advisor to the President? Is any President who would tolerate such behavior fit for the Office? I'll leave it to others to figure out whether Rove has broken any laws.

Frank Rich has this completely right.

Compare Tierney to Rich, then decide what makes more sense.
