The WSJ Berates DeLay Again

The Wall Street Journal highlights the shenanigans of Jack Abramoff, Tom DeLay, and the National Center for Public Policy, among others today.

The following is an interesting take on Democratic efforts to unseat DeLay.

A quick lesson in Republican English:

What the Republicans say: The Democratic "hit machine" is targeting the Republican majority and its agenda.

Translation: Senior Republican leaders suspect that it's only a matter of time before Tom DeLay is forced from office.

Democrats should save their money. Why murder someone who is committing suicide?" said a senior GOP lawmaker, on condition of anonymity.
